Just wondering if anyone has been out after walleye lately? I'm thinking that this drop in temperature should get them going. If we don't get too much rain this week, I'm going to try to get up to the Wapsi this weekend. The water is higher than i like, but I guess that means no wading necessary to get to the good holes. Would love to hear from anyone that's been out in the last week or two. I'll post a report if I get out on Saturday.

Four of us floated from Independence to the Iron Bridge a few weeks ago. We caught a good number of walleyes, but they were on the small side, only 2 keepers. The river was in great shape at that time, but since then the rains have raised the water level quite a bit. A friend of mine has been doing well on the Cedar in the Vinton area. Good luck.

Thanks Jere. I will be sure to post if we make it out. Looks like it might be a little cool on Saturday, but I'd sure like to get a couple for the frying pan.
